# About PALCO

**Welcome to PALCO, a manufacturer of wooden pallets in a variety of designs. Our family-owned business has been producing standard pallets as well as custom-made solid wood pallets since 1975.**

			Where tradition meets quality**.** Wood as a raw material has been the focus of activities in our owner-managed, forward-looking, mid-sized family business since 1975. We manufacture **standardised** as well as **customer-specific solid wood** pallets for many different areas (transportation, packaging, storage etc.) in our new and **modern** production hall. We have stood for **quality** and **reliability** since the very beginning. We supply industry and trade with standardised as well as custom-made wooden pallets for almost any application with fast delivery times.

## PALCO, how it all began

			
The family business PALCO was founded in 1975. A completely new building was constructed in 2021 and equipped with state-of-the-art automated production facilities. Together with our partner company HILO, we form Holzindustrie Losheim.

The company now employs 75 skilled and experienced staff, many of whom have been loyal to the business for many years. In addition to the air-conditioned halls, staff can spend their breaks in our new, spacious social rooms. Looking back on a sound past, we are now investing in a strong future.

**Sustainability** plays a very important role in our business. Being a wood-processing company, we are committed to the principle of zero waste and use all the wood chips we produce to heat drying chambers, production halls and the company building. We also rely on our **heat recovery system** to ensure 100% raw material utilisation.

When it comes to mobility within the company, we primarily rely on electric forklifts that travel quietly and, above all, emitting no exhaust fumes across our premises and through the production hall.



## We give our all for your pallets

			
Thanks to our new production hall, our expanded manufacturing capacities and our extensive pallet warehouse (more than 35,000 m² of available storage space), we are geared to producing very large quantities of pallets and making them available to our customers within the shortest possible time. Wherever possible, we obtain our **raw material wood** from our own **sawmill**, which also has a **planing plant**. This **guarantees a reliable supply**, and the quality of the raw materials can be assured at a very early stage.

## We stand for high quality and standards

			
PALCO is a certified manufacturer of new wooden [Euro pallets](/products/euro-pallet/). The EPAL marking is an oval located on all four corner blocks. A further feature is the **IPPC** mark and the manufacturer's number as well as the date of manufacture on the middle blocks.

Drying in accordance with [**IPPC-ISPM 15**](/our-services/)(see also the **HPE** international standard) is mandatory for all Euro pallets. This means that the pallets can be used without any restrictions in international goods traffic. We pay particular attention to high **quality controls** when manufacturing our pallets, from the individual production steps to shipping to the customer. This guarantees the safe use of our (Euro) pallets.
