The ISPM 15 standard (or IPPC in English and NIMP in French) for wood packaging material establishes phytosanitary treatment and monitoring measures to reduce the risk of spreading harmful pests through wood packaging material used in international trade.

ISPM 15

ISPM 15 stands for "International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures for Wood Packaging Material in International Trade".

ISPM, i.e. the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures, is part of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC). The purpose of these measures is to avoid introducing wood pests into foreign ecosystems. Various treatment methods can be used to eliminate possible pests from wood in accordance with ISPM 15.

The IPPC standard guarantees that no fungi, microorganisms or insects are exported to foreign countries. PALCO pallets can be treated in accordance with IPPC standard ISPM No. 15 on request. The treatment is entirely thermal, avoiding the use of chemicals.
